SlimTimer Shutting Down on Jan 1, 2020

It’s with a tinge sadness I’m announcing that, after almost 15 years online, SlimTimer will be shut down on Dec 15, 2019 (Updated: Jan 1, 2020). You can, and should, export your data ASAP via this link (be sure to login first).

SlimTimer will always hold a place in my heart as the first solo project I put online and as the test harness that launched UserVoice, my subsequent startup. Because of that I’ve kept it online for years despite it being a money losing endeavor. 

I’m shutting it down because it weighs on my conscience to continue offering a service that people depend on that I can no longer reliably support. I can barely remember how to log in and fix any problems that arise. And while those happen infrequently, it’s enough to give me pause, especially given how out of date the entire system is.

To everyone who used the product over the years: Thank you! Your kind words and dedicated usage of SlimTimer brought me an immense sense of pride and joy over the years.
